Mr. Mohamed Faizal has been appointed as the Secretary General at the Civil Service Commission effective from today.

Previously Mr. Faizal had served as the Director of Performance Management at the President’s Office. The President’s Office was also where Mr. Faizal began his civil service career, first joining as a Research Officer Trainee in 1996.

Mr. Faizal earned his doctoral degree in Public Policy from the Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. He also has a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Bergen, Norway, and completed his Bachelor’s degree in Management and Public Administration at the University of the South Pacific, Fiji islands.
